Typically, house rewires can take between 5-14 days. This is all dependant on the existing installation, its size and if it is occupied. After extensive use, that is, when a current (electricity) passes through copper – it degrades. Rewires are a substantial piece of work and if cables are to be chased (recessed) in walls, this will create a lot of dust during the process. Once completed, the aesthetics are excellent and the end-users’ safety increased. If you’re wiring is old (25+ years) and without any recent inspection and testing, we strongly recommend you have an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) performed. This will determine any unsafe and non-compliant instances in relation to BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations. From this, you will know the exact state of the installation and can make any informed decisions highlighted in the report. An EICR is one of the services we offer.
